Pick ‘N’ Mix

ej1G5S06hk1jj6ypUXJx1Mo8o1_500

Ok, so these are five tracks I’ve become really quite addicted that I recommend for those moments where you need an aural pick-me-up to get you through the working week.

Moby – Mistake (Lifelike Remix)
: The original is a rather sombre and depressing affair into which Lifelike manages to inject more than a fair amount of energy and optimism.

Zoot Woman – Saturation
: Similar to “We Won’t Break”, but much better. Looks good for their upcoming album.

Miami Horror – Make You Mine (Cassian Remix)
: Cassian does what Fred Falke couldn’t with this song. He makes it better.

Cassius – Almost Cut My Hair
: this is one of four new tracks appearing on the Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes EP that Cassius are releasing later this year, and arguably as close as they’ve come to mirroring the magnificent “Toop Toop”.

Thieves Like Us – Your Heart Feels (Designer Drugs Remix) / Holy Ghost! – I Will Come Back (DJ Mehdi Remix)
: I couldn’t pick between these two tracks so offer them to you as a twofer. The Designer Drugs remix sounds like something Tiga could claim as his own, while the DJ Mehdi remix takes you on a bass-driven ride through the 70s.

These are links to blogs where the tracks are hosted, rather than the tracks themselves. After all, credit ought to go where credit is due.
